Here at CCD we are a close-knit and dedicated team, working closely together every day. You can be confident that we will give your project the attention and focus that it requires, with nominated Engineers getting to know your requirements in detail. Our team is small enough to care about the intricacies of your project, and large enough to bring experience, knowledge and outstanding technical ability to the table.
Established in 2015
CCD was established in 2015 by Adam, after many years working in the industry. Adam built his business around his own vision to bring clarity, along with an open and honest approach, to M&E design. Since our inception in 2015, we are proud to have built a dedicated and talented team which we continue to develop. Adam continues to lead the team in delivering a consistently professional and high standard of design and support to each of our clients.
Adam’s Mission
At CCD, the whole team share in Adam’s mission of delivering a consistently excellent standard of design and project management, whilst keeping our advice as clear and straightforward as possible. We are passionate about building long-term relationships with our clients by offering a high standard of work, along with personal service and attention to the smallest of details.

Clear Consulting and Design Ltd offers a complete M&E solution, providing clear and concise Building Services Design and Project Management to the construction industry, from conception through to completion.
Range of Services

The Team
Adam Simpson
Director
MEng (Hons) CEng MCIBSE
Adam Simpson
Adam is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years of experience in building services design and project management. In addition to Building Services Consultancy, Adam’s background includes the role of Head of Engineering & Infrastructure at the University of East Anglia, gaining him extensive experience in Higher Education projects. He has also worked on care homes, residential buildings, office space, leisure facilities, and mixed-use developments, including in some instances the added challenge of listed buildings.
Adam is known and respected for his excellent technical knowledge and ability to clearly and concisely detail requirements. His drive to deliver the best service possible and exceed client expectations through clear and honest communication is at the heart of the company ethos, and Adam leads the team at CCD with these values as our focus.
Outside of CCD, Adam is a keen mountain biker and likes to blow off steam in the bike parks around the UK.
Sophie Simpson

Sophie Simpson
Sophie’s background lies in Sales & Marketing and she joined Clear Consulting and Design as Co-Director and Business Manager in November 2015. Sophie manages the finance, administration and new business side of CCD and supports the technical delivery of our projects. Sophie is focussed on the wellbeing of our team and ensuring that everyone has the environment and resources that they need to thrive.
Outside of CCD, Sophie spends most of her time either at the gym or exploring new places with her family.
Tom Williams

Tom Williams
Tom joined our team in 2021 from a Consultancy background in St Albans where he began his career as a CAD Technician and Junior Engineer. Tom brought with him a strong knowledge of M&E Systems design and in 2022 was promoted to Senior Engineer, now running projects with the support of the team. Outside work Tom enjoys the great outdoors, often taking hiking trips around the country.
Andrew Cousins

Andrew Cousins
Andrew joined CCD in 2020 and brought with him a strong background in Engineering Design and Project Management. Andrew also has previous experience in Research & Development, allowing him to bring this forward-thinking and open-minded attitude to his design work. Andrew is a creative and proactive member of our team, constantly striving for improved ways to deliver solutions. In his spare time Andrew can usually be found paddleboarding the waterways of Norfolk.
Husain Folath

Husain Folath
Husain joined the team as Graduate Engineer in 2018 following the completion of his Building Services degree. He has progressed to Engineer level and consistently developed his technical skills, knowledge and industry awareness. Husain is a key part of the team and always on the lookout for new areas to learn and progress in. When not working Husain enjoys visiting interesting places with his wife.
Neil Wilson

Neil Wilson
Neil has worked for CCD, in a part time capacity for 3 years and adds his diverse knowledge and experience to the skills of the team. Primarily, Neil is a Building Services Design Engineer with over 30 years of experience, but he has also turned his hand to roles such as Head of Energy and Utilities, Deputy Operations Manager, Mechanical Services Design Engineer and Construction Project Manager at the University of East Anglia. By working for both contractors and consultants, Neil has gained a breadth of knowledge and experience. In his down time, Neil plays golf, skis and explores Europe in his motorhome.
